Mileage Markers Up On All Courses // Watch for Red Flag Conditions

I finally have all the mileage marker signs up on all three courses, so that should be helpful to those of you who are out running the courses.



Today is extremely hot throughout the Bay Area, and the heat is likely to return in the next few weeks. During the most-severe "Red Flag" conditions, all the trails at Los Vaqueros are closed -- even in the early morning -- because of the danger from fire.

If the forecast is for extremely hot temperatures, make sure you check the Contra Costa Water District website
to check the fire danger conditions before heading out to the to watershed. The fire danger is always posted in the upper right hand side of the page.

We've only had two days of Red Flag so far this year, and today it's at Very High, which doesn't impact trail use.

As always, bring your water when you're practicing on the trails.
